Had a letter saying I could get up to £22 worth for just £5. Thought amazing as a family of 5 we are struggling at the moment. I’ve followed the exact instructions on the letter I received, to add two meal kits and a staple pack for the offer to automatically apply at check out. which i did but it’s saying I’ll be charged £20.50 at the check out? Can a member of the team explain what’s happening?
Hey I'm really sorry about this and thank you for sending this feedback.
In summary it's a technical display issue that was happening due to an oversight on some of the code I wrote for that sign-up order page. Essentially if you didn't click the button that said 'new customer' the code wouldn't recognise you as being valid for the £5 offer (even though the back end order system would recognise you as being valid).
If you had made the order you would have been charged only £5 even though it said £20.5 (again, really sorry about this, it didn't show up in our tests, but we implemented a fix recently). I've now changed the code, so if you go to eat-well.shop/staple5 and run through it again (at least 2 meals and a staple pack), it will (it really really should) show £5 now.
Let us know if you have any issues, so sorry about this.
Excellent value for money and all the meals tried have been full of flavour and throughly enjoyed.
I thought it was really good
Why have you left us one star if you think it's really good?
Good value for money, I would prefer the type of chicken listed on the selection page when using a phone to order as we prefer chicken breast to chicken thighs.
Hi Emma, Thanks for the feedback and we will look into ways of making it more clear for customers.
